Hi All

I am a newbie to NRAS and a newbie to RA and all its symptons.
I am keen to share and keen to learn, particularly about a more holistic approach to managing RA.

Hello and welcome Ian.

I'm jenni
I've got ra too.

Not sure what a holistic approach to ra looks like? Surviving a series of crises and telling the tale possibly not what you're looking for!

The thing is you need a balance of medication, joint and energy conservation, pain management strategies and support.

It's hard to get your head around at the start.
I found the spoon theory a big help
You can find it on the American site butyoudontlooksick.com
It's a bit on the cheesy side but the spoon theory part is very helpful.

All the best

Jenni

Hi Ian,

There are things you can do that may be what you are looking for and I've used some with success, others less so. But my best advice is to be flexible, and just use what works while working on the bigger picture.

I hope you are managing ok. Welcome to the board Smile
